New Chanel Hysteria AW 2010

A new nail laquer hysteria is about to begin, cause Chanel has launched their new “It-Colours” for AW 2010! Two gorgeous nail colours named “Jade Rose 493″, a pale shiny pink and the mystic dark greyish violet “Paradoxal 509″. Chanel vs. Channelesque

Due to the sad fact that the Chanel 505 Particulière is sold out everywhere and won’t be available before march 2010, i went looking for a similar shade of nail laquer today. Finally i found the shade “Channeleque” of the China Glaze Crème Couture Collection on ebay.com for only $2,95! So i just ordered this one to help me through the agonizing wait …

Spring braided hair

A natural, fresh looking hair trend for Spring 2010 is braided hair. From loose “just out of the bed” braids to complicated looking, long fishtail braids and russian inspired, front-braided hair styles. Braids are hot this season! And as Neil Moodie, great Vogue stylist, predicted: “It’s safe to say that braids are here to stay.” So choose your own favourite way, straight, wrapped, or loose -the options are versatile!

Cotton Candy Hair

The Cotton Candy trend has extended from Make-up to finally hair colours. Many designers, like Comme des Garcons, Louis Vuitton, Luella and even Chanel combined Cotton Candy coloured hair with their Spring 2010 collections. I am not sure what to think about it yet… maybe patell coloured hair is really great for Spring 2010 fashion editorials – but for everyday, I would rather go for some streaks!

If I would still be 13 years old, i would try out directly…like Tavi! But i would rather go for a softer violet or pink shade! Via tavi-thenewgirlintown.blogspot.com

Alice in Wonderland version 2010, directed by Tim Burton, will be released in march5, 2010. The movie which is based on my beloved childhood book “Alices`s Adventures in Wonderland” and a novel called “Through the Looking-Glass” written by Lewis Carroll features stars like Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Anne Hathaway as Snow Queen and gorgeous Mr. Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter.

Brands like Paul & Joe, Urban Decay and O.P.I. cooperated with Disney and created limited-editions beauty boxes, lip treatments and nail colours inspired by the Alice`s journey through Wonderland.

Paul & Joe designer S.Albou has created a sugar sweet “Alice in Wonderland” beauty collection. The cute illustrated boxes include Blotting Paper, a small mirror and a lightly coloured Lip Treatment. “OPI is thrilled about tying in with Alice in Wonderland,” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “This is a movie everyone will be talking about – and our magical colors were inspired by its brilliant on-screen imagery.”

These two shades are my favourites! What a sparkle! Thank you for the swatches alllaqueredup.com

Milk chocolate nails

My favourite nail colours for this season are brown shades. Starting with a dark, 20s inspired chocolate brown shade i really fell in love with the Chanel Le Vernis Particuliére 505 nail laquer with it`s creamy milk chocolate shade. Yummy! Unfortunalety it is sold out everywhere. It`s only available on ebay at the moment – but for 40,00 €!

So i went looking for alternative products and found some nice milky chocolate shades at O.P.I.

I even prefer the little darker version “You don`t know Jaques” from O.P.I. What do you think? Thank you for this great comparison! via
